ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY: 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Administrative Assistant to support the Risk and Compliance function. 

Reporting to the Risk & Compliance Manager, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with the implementation of risk and compliance frameworks. 

The role focuses on: 

  • Support the administration of the School’s governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, including maintaining registers, compliance schedules, reporting, and supporting documentation. 

  • Coordinate risk and compliance activities, including monitoring obligations, tracking actions, and assisting with evidence collation for internal and external requirements. 

  • Provide administrative support for policy and document management, including document control, version management, review cycles, approvals, and publication processes. 

  • Coordinate compliance-related training administration, including scheduling, tracking completion, and maintaining training and child safety compliance requirements. 

  • Support child safety and wellbeing administration, including meeting coordination, records management, and compliance activities aligned with legislative and School requirements. 

  • Administer external provider compliance processes, including workflow coordination, stakeholder liaison, and the maintenance of required documentation. 

  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and well-organised digital records, registers, and systems to support effective governance and operational requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience

ABOUT YOU: 

To be successful in this opportunity, you will require: 

  • High-level organisational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; 

  • Demonstrated digital literacy, including Microsoft 365, and the ability to use technology accurately, efficiently and securely in administrative and compliance tasks; 

  • Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with staff across the School to support shared objectives; 

  • High professional standards, conduct and attention to detail, including accurate records and register maintenance; 

  • Apply knowledge and exercise initiative, discretion and judgement as required;

  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively with minimal supervision;

  • Willing to support our shared Purpose Statement and the School’s values;

  • Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of appropriate professional boundaries and standards when working with children and young people;

 

Desirable Experience & Skills: 

  • Experience in WHS and/or Risk Management and compliance processes;  

  • Current First Aid qualifications; 

  • Experience using The Alpha School System (TASS); and 

  • Experience working in a School.
