Job Description

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:  

St Paul’s School is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator and Business Analyst to support the School’s IT infrastructure and drive digital transformation. Reporting to the Director of Business & Operations, this role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing IT systems, providing business analysis, and ensuring the effective use of technology to support the School’s operations.

The key focus areas of this role include:

  • Managing, maintaining, and optimising the School’s digital systems, specifically TASS & and communication systems (e.g. School Box).
  • Conducting business analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to staff, ensuring efficient use of these digital tools and platforms.

This role is a critical part of the School’s operational team, contributing to process improvement and reducing duplication and workloads while improving efficiencies across departments and staff across the School.

Desired Skills and Experience

ABOUT YOU: 

To be successful in this role, you will have the technical expertise and analytical skills to manage digital systems and support business processes at St Paul’s School.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in system administration and business analysis, ideally within an education or complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, cloud services, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience with similar digital systems, data analysis, and process automation.
  • Ability to provide technical support and training to non-technical users.
  • High-level problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strategic mindset.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A commitment to supporting the Anglican ethos of St Paul’s School.

Desirable Experience & Skills:

  • Experience working in an educational environment or a similar industry.
  • Experience with school-based digital systems (e.g., TASS, Synergetic, SEQTA, School Box).
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and change management practices.
  • Knowledge of IT compliance requirements and best practices in data governance.
