ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking an experienced Teacher of Biology & Years 7-10 Science to join our secondary school program.
As a full-time teacher, you will work collaboratively with your colleagues to deliver a vibrant curriculum to your students and possess a strong knowledge of content and pedagogy in these areas. You will use teaching strategies that cater to the needs of a diverse student group and differentiate the curriculum to adapt to students' needs.
As the classroom Teacher you will be responsible for the delivery of a holistic education, including;
Creation of a nurturing learning environment which is learner-centered, safe, supportive, co-operative and aligned with curriculum, policies and practices
Effective planning, implementation and reviewing of learning programs;
Effective management of students in the classroom and wider school community;
Ensuring that the values and Christian ethos of the School are upheld.

Desired Skills and Experience
ABOUT YOU
You will have qualifications and contemporary teaching experience as well as:
Experience teaching Years 11 and 12 Biology
Experience teaching Years 7-10 Science
Qualified Teacher, registered with, or eligible for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement
Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum: Science
Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills and organisational skills
Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, parents and carers to achieve the best outcomes for students
Demonstrate a commitment to the Christian faith and the Anglican ethos of the School
